21st Century tech on Palace Roof
Salisbury Cathedral School now has a weather station on the roof of the 13th Century Palace it calls home! The school’s eco-group have been allowed rare access to the roof to help install the new technology to monitor extreme weather events.
The live weather data will also be used by pupils in Geography lessons and will be put on the school website to give visitors real-time information about weather conditions in Salisbury. The next stage of the project is to install a web-cam which will be directed at the Cathedral and will stream live images of current conditions.
