Be part of CSA’s next chapter!
The Choir Schools’ Association is looking for a General Secretary – a very exciting new post to support & promote UK choir schools and choristers!
The Association’s Administrator and Information Officer are retiring soon and the CSA Committee is planning to combine the two roles. This will create a terrific part time job for someone who has a passion for choral music, organisational skills and creative flair along with a good understanding of the education world. The post includes administering funds for establishments in the government’s Music and Dance Scheme (MDS) in conjunction with the Department for Education.
CSA represents 46 choir schools educating cathedral and collegiate choristers and nine foundations where choristers don’t attend choir schools. Members educate in the region of 25,000 children including some 1200 choristers. They provide a first-class education alongside an unrivalled musical training from the age of 7+.
Taking CSA Forward
Even before the Covid-19 pandemic, the world of choir schools was changing and the Association believes this is an opportunity to recruit someone who will help it navigate the next few years and ensure it is not only on a strong footing for the future but will be a beacon for the unique education its members provide.
If you think this part time, home based job (circa £20k) is right for you please check out the job description below for lots more details about the role. It’s a wonderful opening for someone to join us as a new chapter opens in CSA’s 100 year old history!
