Celebrating Choral Partnership Initiatives
Singing teachers involved in a wide variety of choral partnerships with local schools got together in June for a great training session. Very engaging speakers left them buzzing, full of new ideas and looking forward to the new academic year now underway!
As CSA Chairman, Neil Chippington says: “CSA is proud of the many programmes its members are delivering. We are equally proud to be part of a much wider network of brilliant initiatives touching the lives of many thousands of primary school pupils. It is obvious these children thrive on the challenge of good repertoire, delivered by highly skilled musicians.”
Together we are Great Advocates for Children’s singing!
Simon Toyne, Director of Music for The David Ross Education Trust (DRET) and President of the Music Teachers’ Association was particularly upbeat about what is being achieved, despite the depressing headlines about the state of music education.
Thank you to vocal animateur Charles McDougall, Simon Toyne, Tom Daggett who heads St Paul’s Cathedral’s Outreach Programme and Music Mark’s Chief Executive, Bridget Whyte, delegates for fantastic contributions! These ensured delegates walked away with masses to think about and lots of tips.
Read our CPD Report Summer 2019 for more about the day, along with lots of useful leads to some of many projects successfully engaging with children all over the country. We look forward to hearing about many more similar initatives because it is clear that together we are a significant national advocate for children’s singing!
