New Head Enjoying Exeter
James Featherstone, nearing the end of his first term as Headmaster of Exeter Cathedral School, says: “I’m struck by the strong sense of community and purpose at ECS, and it is clear that this is a very special environment and a place where people come first. The music-making here is first-class and the opportunity to see our pupils in action leading the centuries-old pattern of daily sung worship in the cathedral is a very great privilege. I have very much enjoyed my first few months in post’.
James was previously Head of Lower School and part of the 3-18 Leadership Team at The Perse School in Cambridge. He is a graduate of Durham University where he studied modern languages. During his PGCE training in Durham he was also a Choral Scholar in Durham Cathedral.
