Two Canterbury Choristers in BBC Final!
Not one but two pupils from St Edmund’s School, Canterbury are in the final of BBC Radio 2’s Young Chorister of the Year 2015. Pictured below are Will Inscoe (Lower Fifth) and Oliver Futcher (Form 7) who will be singing at St Martin in the Fields Church in London tonight (12 October). For Will, this is the second year in a row that he has reached the final of this most prestigious competition.
Four boys and four girls will compete with one boy winner and one girl winner but we have to wait until 22 October to find out who has won!
Louise Moelwyn-Hughes, Head of St Edmund’s School, comments “To have two out of four boy Choristers representing by St Edmund’s School and Canterbury Cathedral is a phenomenal achievement and we wish both boys every success.”
PS The winner of the competition in 2007 was also a St Edmund’s pupil, Joel Whitewood.
