Welcome Back Choristers!
Boy and girl choristers will be heading back to school this week and resuming their cathedral duties. For others this will be the beginning of a new adventure as they start their probationary training to become a chorister. The first-class musical training along with a first-class education promises to lay foundations that will support them for life.
Choir schools come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from Westminster Abbey Choir School which educates just choristers to large state schools with well over 1000 pupils. They all have one thing in common. This is the belief that music and the creative arts in general have a vital part to play in every child’s journey through their schooldays and beyond.
Congratulations to pupils and schools for their excellent results following GCSE and A Levels this summer. We wish students every success as they continue with their education.
Welcome to new pupils and staff
We also give a big welcome to the new choristers and teachers starting at a choir school this term and hope they enjoy their time at a CSA school.
There are two new faces at the helm and we look forward to meeting David Morton who has succeeded Alistair McNaughton at The King’s School in Gloucester and Louise Salmon Smith, whol will be leading The Prebendal, Chichester following the retirement of Tim Cannell.
Welcome to the CSA family!
