Partnership programme

Quick to sign up to Sing Up in 2007, the Cathedral Choristers and the School’s Director of Music continued to visit up to 16 participating primary schools to encourage and embed singing into the daily lives of pupils.  Hopefully this will resume post lockdown! All schools involved in the programme then took part in a celebratory end of term concert held in Christ Church Cathedral.

In 2017, Christ Church Cathedral School received the Oxfordshire Community Hub Music Service Award in recognition of its Cathedral Choristers’ partnership work over the past decade.

The long term objective is to establish an endowment fund of approximately £1,000,000, generating an annual income of around £30,000+ that would, apart from other areas, cover the relevant part of the operating costs of the project in perpetuity.
